I have been living in Asia, in Singapore more accurately, since 2006. My husband and I are both working full-time and like many expats in the region, we love to travel when the weekend finally kicks in. Two days in Thailand or Indonesia; there is worse in life! But we were told many times that it would stop the moment we would have a child.
Over the past five years, we proved to our families, friends and colleagues that traveling with a baby or a toddler is possible. Since December 2011, we have even been traveling with 2 kids (1 baby & 1 toddler). Obviously, the way we organize our trips has changed but we are still traveling and enjoying every bit of each trip.
So after a while I started getting questions from parents who have the desire to travel with their babies or toddlers. How to manage the flight and jet lag? How to feed children in the country of destination? What to put in the luggage of my baby or child? What destinations to favor with a baby? The list is almost endless!
Being passionate about photography, I started sharing pictures of my destinations for several years before having children through a blog. I used this medium to publish some articles about family travel but I then realized that a blog entirely dedicated to the subject would be more appropriate. So I started Petits Globetrotteurs (in my mother tongue: French). Now the time has come for an English version: “Kidootrip“.
I would like to share my family travel tips with a larger number of parents and provide more details on the destinations we’ve tested – everything you need to know to enjoy your family vacation.
But please bear with me, I am not an English native speaker! And if you want to receive all my family travel tips & advice, please sign up for Kidootrip newsletter.
